Public health Promotion School Leader
In partnership with Oxfam GB, Palestinian Environmental Friends Association (PEF) received fund to improve the public health status in 33 schools. PEF welcomes applications from people who have the required experience and skills for one position.
Public Health Promotion School Leader
Public Health Promotion School Leader will report to the Project Manager, the PHSL will be responsible for ensuring the appropriate campaign to reactive the manual of the schools health committees in 33 schools (Rafah, Khan Younis and Middle Area). The PHSL will also be responsible for the production of the Reproductive Health, STD/ HIV manual and the campaign to activate it in 12 schools (Rafah and Khan Younis).
Main Key Responsibilities:
-Collaborate with School Health Program Team/Ministry of Education (SHPT/MOE) for the two campaigns.
-Plan the project sub-activities with the SHPT/MOE in away to match the general plan.
-Manage the project activities of the two campaigns as well as the Reproductive Health, STD/ HIV manual production
-Coordinate and document the meetings with Oxfam PHP team and the SHPT/MOE.
-Manage the trainings of the trainees (T.O.T) as well as the school Based Sessions of the Health Committees within the school campaigns after the TOT.
-Prepare the monitoring plan and monitor the project activities according to the agreed plans in order to achieve the project results and indicators.
-Provide regular and reliable narrative reports as agreed with project manager.
-Ensure the availability of the documentation system as agreed on time.
-Work together with other project team member to ensure that the various activities of the project are achieved.
Main Skills and Competences
-Bachelor degree in public health or any related field, master degree is preferable.
-Good knowledge and experience with related local and/or international NGOs.
-Experience with governmental sectors/ ministries.
-Experience and understanding of public health/hygiene promotion and community mobilization within school communities.
-Experience in campaigning.
-Good time management skills.
-Gender balance and diversity attitudes.
-Good oral and written reporting skills.
-Diplomacy, tact, and negotiating skills.
-Personnel management skills and proper level of independency.
-Strong communication skills and ability to work in a team.
-Ability to work under pressure.
